From a young age, Leonardo has exhibited the makings of a great leader. Recognizing this, Master Splinter placed him in the leading role of his three brothers, appointed him the sword -- the chief instrument of all ninja weapons -- and marked him with the color blue for his high regard for honor and valor. Leo is lightning fast and deadly accurate in battle, but finds his greatest adversary does not lie at the point of his blade – it exists within the form of a life-long question: When he is a leader, and when must he be a brother? Until he discovers the answer to this question, he will always choose leader first, and therefore remain -- as all great leaders must – somewhat of an emotional outsider among those he loves.
